7 More ways to Make Your Blog Sticky

Stinkbug's stickynessImage via WikipediaAnd here are the additional 7 more techniques to make your blog sticky. You'll enjoy reading them and even wants to try to implement some of them in your blog although in my case I don't like embedding some videos on my blog as it slows down the loading of the page and that would mean users will not enjoy browsing through your site and can be a deterrent factor in my opinion, but it is a case to case basis depending on the type of blog you have.

Educational side of blogging

Work StudioImage by *spo0ky* via FlickrBlogging has gone into a revolutionary tool not only as a personal journal, but more than that in the recent years. It has become the powerful tool that help people earn while at home especially moms and those who are out of school. Aside from the potential of earning extra bucks, blogging becomes a tool now for informal education among the young and the out of school. Indeed it has been a good tool to educate anyone as in my experience with blogging has teach me. During my early college ,I am not that familiar with the internet and the world wide web. I only know the internet from magazines and books and from my sister who is a computer professional. My first hands-on informal training with using the power of the web and blogging was after I have graduated from college, imagine that, knowing that the web is already there in the late 80's if I am not mistaken. But since then, my entire experience and outlook has been greatly change after that first hands-on with internet and then I begin my journey of informal education using the web and blogging. Blogging has help me learn how to create web pages and to do some simple PC tricks. While browsing other blogs from computer tips and tricks to making money online this tool has enhance my personal development and hidden talents like writing articles, advertising through blogging and how to use some applications that is unknown to my world before.

Students benefit from using blogs to exchange ideas and to learn about something by just visiting blogs that contains post related to science, current events, religion or social sciences. Aside from this, the accessibility of blogging as a free tool benefits those out of school children to have at least an informal education where in they can learn something at their own pace and time. The availability and ease of use of blogging software makes creating blogs a viable classroom activity and a means for teachers to communicate with students and other teachers. Blogging becomes a hub for students and teachers alike to interact and exchange ideas. This tools can be a news room, a library, a resource center and an activity center for students and mentors alike. Blogging indeed has grown into an all around application, profitable both for education and profit for low income earners and get additional earnings out of their free time.

Backlinks,PR, traffic and extra bucks through Social Networking

Paying people to hold signs is one of the oldest forms of advertising, as with this Human directional pictured aboveImage via WikipediaJoining Social network sites has lot to offer us bloggers in getting much needed traffic and backlinks for our blog especially for those who are just starting to create a blog, thus makes your blog gain Page rank and even popularity. And more than that Social networking sites now is being tapped by advertisers to promote products and services that creates opportunity for bloggers to earn extra bucks aside from meeting new friends and acquaintances. This two features combined in a social network makes blogging a better tool to share ideas, views and product reviews plus additional bucks to utilize in paying for the maintenance of your paid hosting and domain. The trend now that Social media is taking is that of paid posting generated from advertisers who want to promote products and services through the use of blogging, which in my opinion is advantageous for bloggers in two ways. First, you can generate lots of traffic and backlinks to your blog and secondly, you have the opportunity to earn extra bucks. But always be cautious when doing paid posting: Never forget to post original content for your blog often as paid post could affect the quality of your blog because major search engines especially Daddy "G" is allergic to too much paid post scattered in your blog, but social sites that has this features states in their TOS that original post should follow every paid posting that you've taken. And they now have a "no-follow" tag in the links that they want you to insert in your post so that your PR would not suffer. SocialSpark, Smorty, and Bloggerwave are just some of the few social networking sites that has this features offered for bloggers and advertisers. What's your opinion about this new trend in blogging and social networking? Have your say here.

Ways to get traffic for your blog

Web 2.0Image by BigBlue via FlickrThis is an answer to a query from one of the visitor of my blog. This may not the best way to gain traffic to your blog, but so far this what I've done. Even if you have a good quality post that is worth reading in your blog, but if you don't promote your blog perhaps one or two might be able to stumble on your post but that's it. So in order to attract readers and visitors to your blog you have to do at least one of the following scheme.
1. Do some blog hopping and try to leave a comment in the post that gets your interest and when you post try to make it relevant to the post you are commenting.
2. If you are too lazy to do some blog hopping which in my opinion you must never do if you are a blogger, try to submit you blog to blog directories and here some of my choices:Blogcatalog, Mybloglog, Blogflux, Bloggapedia
There are other blog directories out there in the web but so far this is what I recommend.
3. You may join social networking sites as this sites offers you a lot of exposure to your blog by gaining friends in the virtual world of the web. Some of the best social networking sites are StumbleUpon, Techorati, and Digg. There are other good social network sites that you can choose just have the initiative to scour the web and you will get lots aside from this that I mention.
4. Try creating an account with a news reader like Netvibes or NewsGator as this will help in exposing your blog to subscribers of this readers.
5. Join Entrecard though you must have the drive to drop your card to other entrecard members as this will give your blog more exposure.
6. If you are good at writing articles try to compose one or two and submit it to Article submission sites like EzineAritlces and others, as this sites allows you to place a link to your blog and readers will find your blog through the article you have submitted.
So far this is what I can share to you for now and maybe in the future I can give much more ideas and tips aside from what I have been doing now.

Writing articles can be fun and challenging for us bloggers as it tickles our brain to be creative and become a prolific writer that perhaps it may propel us to fame and become an authority in the field of writing and composing great articles in the niche that we've chosen. When writing articles for submission do write those that you are well verse and knowledgeable of and always be original in your ideas and thoughts. Article submission sites offers blogger an opportunity to promote their blog by publishing the articles submitted with a link to your blog.
