Image via WikipediaWhat I like most when doing my post in my blog is that there are now lots of tools and cool sites that you can utilize to promote your blog. Social Network sites are now gaining popularity not only for bloggers but also it has been tapped by advertisers to promote and advertise their products. When you join the Social Network sites it gives you the advantage of creating your own universe and circle of friends whom you can introduce your blog and get a review of it. Using the potentials of Social network sites is now essential in gaining readers and followers of anyones blog. How this new opportunity works simple; you gain friends and your friends have their own friends too and equals exposure of your blog in a viral fashion. So in my opinion try joining as much as possible in Social Network sites. Here is a diagram of how social network sites work and how you can tap its potential in gaining traffic, readership and followers of your blog.

Whether starting out with a new domain name, or a domain that’s been around for a decade, you can rank your blog on Google if you just do what Google wants you to do. So here are 25/50 tips to get your blog ranked by the world’s biggest SE. I've digg this article and I find it very informative and useful to new and old bloggers alike. I like tip 37 that says " Don't use duplicate content. The only duplicate content that appears in your blog posts are quotes, and they should be identified with quotation marks." Indeed if you are blogging try not to make a duplicate content as this will not be crawled by spiders instead try to do trackback links and compose your own idea around the trackback content and let it blend with the trackback. In so doing you are making a good content with additional information via the links you made.

One of the biggest hurdles that ALL new ( and experienced) bloggers face, is the constant and continuous chase to create good and compelling content. In the big buck battles you see fought over the hearts and minds of your readers, it's often the blogs that have the MOST continuously updated content that get the most views, NOT those that have the best ideas, or freshest thoughts. In many ways, this is a sad thing...but in a very different senses, it does provide a wonderful window of opportunity to those willing to work harder and smarter than anyone else.
